Better QR results

Shorter content usually gives a cleaner QR. Use high error correction when you add a logo, and keep strong contrast between QR color and background for easier scanning.

For bulk mode, each line becomes a separate QR. If a line is invalid or empty, it will be skipped automatically.
Scannable codes for URLs, contact details, Wi-Fi, and text

Generate a QR code by protecting its data, quiet zone, contrast, error correction, and final scan size

A QR code stores the exact text supplied to it; it does not verify that a URL, contact, payment, or Wi-Fi instruction is safe. Choose the content type, module and eye style, size, quiet zone, error correction, colors, logo, frame, and export format, then scan the final placed or printed code on several devices before publishing.

Encoded content

Use the correct scheme and inspect every field before turning it into a symbol

URL, mail, phone, SMS, Wi-Fi, contact, social, and plain-text payloads follow different conventions. A typo remains a perfectly scannable typo. Avoid embedding secrets or unnecessary personal data because anyone who scans or photographs the symbol can read the content.

Scannability

Quiet zone, module size, contrast, and error correction matter more than decoration

QR Code normally needs a clear four-module margin. Dark modules on a light plain background are the safest baseline. Higher error correction adds redundancy but also increases symbol density. Rounded modules, gradients, frames, and custom eyes should be tested at the smallest final size and under realistic lighting.

Logo and delivery

A center logo consumes data modules and does not make the destination trustworthy

Keep a logo restrained, use sufficient error correction, and never cover position patterns or the quiet zone. SVG is useful for scalable print and PNG for fixed digital output. Test the exported file after layout, printing, resizing, compression, or lamination because those production steps can change scanning.

Practical review

QR code release check

Scan the final asset in context, not only the large browser preview.

  • Open the encoded URL or data and verify every character and field.
  • Keep a clear four-module quiet zone and strong dark-on-light contrast.
  • Match error correction and module density to content, logo, size, and environment.
  • Test iOS and Android devices at final print or display size and viewing distance.
  • Do not encode secrets, and label destinations clearly to reduce phishing risk.

QR code questions

Quiet zones, error correction, logos, colors, size, URLs, and data privacy

How much blank space should surround a QR code?

The QR Code specification guidance calls for a quiet zone four modules wide on every side. Keep text, borders, and artwork outside it.

Which QR error-correction level should I use?

Level M is a common baseline. Higher levels add recovery capacity but increase density; consider print conditions, a center logo, content length, and final size.

Can I place a logo in the middle of a QR code?

Yes, but it covers modules. Keep it small, avoid finder patterns, use suitable error correction, and test the exported code on multiple devices.

Can QR codes use gradients or light colors?

They can, but weak or uneven contrast reduces reliability. Dark modules on a light background are safer. Test any decorative choice in its final environment.

Does a QR code expire?

A static code continues to encode the same data. A linked page, redirect service, account, or domain can change or expire independently.

Is information in a QR code private?

No. Anyone with a camera or decoder can read ordinary QR content. Do not store passwords, private keys, or sensitive personal data in it.
