Calculators give estimates
- The BMI Calculator uses the standard adult formula and the CDC's adult categories. BMI doesn't measure body fat directly, can mislead for very muscular people or during pregnancy, and the adult categories don't apply to children and teens. This calculator gives estimates, not medical advice.
- The Loan Calculator assumes a fixed rate with interest worked out monthly. A lender's fees, rounding and payment dates can make your real payments differ.
- The Currency Converter uses daily reference rates from central banks, loaded through the Frankfurter API. Banks and card providers add their own margin, so the amount you receive will differ.
- Date and time zone tools depend on the time zone data in your browser. Rules for daylight saving time change, and an out-of-date browser can be wrong near a change.
File tools can give different results
Two files with the same extension can behave differently. Encrypted, damaged, very large or scanned files, or files with unusual fonts or compression, may convert badly or not at all. A scanned PDF, for example, has no text layer for a text extractor to read.
Before you send, print or upload a result, open it in the app where it will be used. Check page order, image quality, transparency, extracted text, units and dates. Keep your original until you're sure.
AI output can be wrong
The AI features in Word Counter, Text Expander and the joke and quote generators use an OpenAI model. The output can contain mistakes, invented details or changes to your meaning. Review writing scores, including the originality score, are the model's opinion: no plagiarism database or web search is checked. Find keywords suggests phrases from your text and doesn't use search volume data.
Security and developer tools
Tools such as the hash generator, password generator, PDF password protection, text encryption and JWT decoder handle routine tasks. They are not a security audit. The HTTP Header Checker's grade is a score based on the headers it finds, not a full test of a site's security.
Third parties and links
Some features depend on outside services (OpenAI and the Frankfurter API), which can change or go offline. Links to other sites and any ads are run by other organizations. Their presence doesn't mean ToolzyLab endorses them.
