How random are these generators?

The coin, the dice and the name wheel all draw their results from crypto.getRandomValues(), the cryptographic random number generator built into your browser. Every result is independent. After five heads in a row, the next coin flip is still a 50/50 chance.

The random name picker gives every name an equal slice unless you add weights with the Name|3 format, which makes that name three times as likely. For number draws and raffles, the random number generator can return unique numbers with no repeats.

Ways to use a random picker

  • Classrooms. Paste the class list into the name wheel and set it to remove each winner, so nobody gets picked twice in a round.
  • Board games. The dice roller rolls 1 to 12 dice with 2 to 100 sides, with presets like 4d6 and 1d20.

Yes. In the random name picker, set the option after a name is picked to remove it until the round is reset.

Are the jokes family friendly?

The built-in library has 268 original, clean English jokes. You can also switch to the optional AI writer for jokes in a chosen tone.

Can I save a quote or joke as an image?

Yes. The random quote and joke generators show each one on a poster you can save as PNG, JPG or PDF.

Can I share a quiz I made?

Yes. Export the quiz as a JSON file from the quiz maker, and anyone can import it into the same tool to play it.
