Choose the mode, page expression, pages per split, base output name, and ZIP name from the desired result, then verify every generated file's range, page count, name, and relationship to the original document.
Extract mode is useful for a specific subset, grouped ranges can create named sections, and an interval can divide a long file into equal page blocks. Write ranges carefully, watch inclusive endpoints, and compare the expected file count with the result. A single selected range may produce one PDF rather than a ZIP of many files.
Include a project, record, chapter, invoice, or exhibit identifier in the base name. Sequence numbers should sort correctly and describe the included pages where practical. Avoid relying on the ZIP folder as the only context because recipients may download or forward one split file separately.
A signature page may rely on terms from earlier pages, an exhibit may need its cover sheet, and an invoice may continue onto the next page. Review the first and last page of each output and preserve the source. Forms, bookmarks, attachments, and signatures can also depend on document-level structure that splitting may change.
