How to add a watermark to a photo
- Add your photos. Drag images onto the drop area or select Select Images. You can add up to 500 photos or 2 GB. Click a thumbnail to preview a different photo.
- Create the watermark. For text, select Add / Edit Text and type your name or site. Line breaks are kept. For a logo, set Watermark Type to Image and choose Select Image.
- Style and place it. Adjust Opacity (0.45 by default), Rotation and Scale. Drag the watermark on the preview, or pick a Position Preset such as Bottom-Right and set the margins.
- Download. Leave Format on Same as original or choose JPEG, PNG or WebP, then select Download Current for the photo on screen or Download All (ZIP) for the whole batch.
How to add a logo watermark to a photo
Set Watermark Type to Image, select Select Image and choose your logo file. A PNG with a transparent background works best, because a JPG logo brings its white or colored box along with it.
- Size it. Scale (%) runs from 10 to 400. Watermark size follows each photo's shorter side, so the logo covers the same share of a small phone picture and a large camera file.
- Make it subtle. An Opacity between 0.3 and 0.5 keeps the logo readable without hiding the photo.
- Recolor it. Tick Tint and pick white to turn a dark logo light, so it shows up on dark photos. The tint's own opacity slider controls how strong the color is.
- Use a blend mode. Multiply makes white areas of the logo disappear, and Screen makes black areas disappear. That's a quick fix when your logo file has a solid background.
How to batch watermark images
Every photo you add uses the same watermark settings. Style the watermark on one photo, click through a few thumbnails to check it on others, then select Download All (ZIP). A progress bar counts through the batch, and the result downloads as watermarked_images.zip.
Position presets such as Bottom-Right are worked out for each photo, so the watermark sits the same distance from that corner on every image, whatever its size or shape. A position you drag by hand is stored relative to the photo, so in batches that mix portrait and landscape photos it can shift slightly. Preview one of each before exporting.
Each file keeps its original name with _watermarked added, which makes it easy to tell the copies from the originals.
Where to put a watermark so it's hard to remove
A small mark in a corner is the most discreet option, and also the easiest to remove: anyone can crop it off in seconds. The more of the subject a watermark crosses, the harder it is to remove and the more it distracts from the picture. Pick the trade-off that suits the photo.

Tile Mode repeats the watermark across the whole image. Spacing X and Spacing Y set the gap between copies, and Angle rotates the entire grid. A thin outline or a light shadow keeps text readable on both bright and dark areas.
PNG or JPEG: which output to choose
The Format setting starts on Same as original, so a JPG photo comes back as a JPG at JPEG Quality 0.9 and a PNG stays a PNG. That suits most batches: the difference at 0.9 isn't visible on screen and the files stay small enough to email or upload. Switching a photo to PNG is lossless, but the file is often several times larger than the JPG you started with.
Keep PNG when the original is a PNG graphic, such as a screenshot or a design with sharp text. If a batch still comes out too heavy, run it through Compress JPG or shrink the dimensions with the image resizer. To mark a PDF instead of a photo, use Add Watermark to PDF.
