How to convert PNG to JPG

What happens to transparency when you convert PNG to JPG?
JPG can't store transparency, so every transparent pixel has to become a solid color. This converter fills them with the Background Color you pick. If a converter leaves them unfilled, they often come out black, which is why logos sometimes end up in a black box.
Semi-transparent pixels, such as soft shadows and smooth edges around a logo, are blended with the background color. Why change a PNG to a JPG? Smaller files for photos
PNG is lossless, which makes it a poor fit for photos: a photo saved as PNG can be several times larger than the same photo as a JPG.
